Optimized Performance Helium LoRa Antenna for EU868 MHz
With the HNT Antennas 3 dBi high performance antenna, one can achieve superior power transmission compared to other commercially available non-optimized VSWR antenna designs.
In order to maximize performance, this antenna has been specifically tuned to operate over only the band of frequencies most relevant to EU Helium hotspot operators - EU868.
The majority of commercial Helium Hotspot antenna designs available are universal - that is, they cover both the EU868 and US915 frequency ranges simultaneously - resulting in designs which may not be optimized for either frequency range.
Compared to many commercially available 2:1 VSWR antennas, our antennas offer a better VSWR performance of 1.5:1 - which immediately results in over +7% more transmitted, non-reflected power, and reduced mismatch loss.
Note
This antenna is N-Male, so you will need a cable with a N-Female connector to connect to it, like this ultra low loss HNT400 coaxial cable.
Compatible with below miners depending on the cable
Bobcat, RAK v1, RAK v2, MNTD, SyncroB.it, Nebra Indoor, OG Helium Hotspot, LongAP Light, SenseCAP M1, Heltec, Linxdot, COTX, ClodPi, Finestra, Panther X2, LongAP, Controllino, Browan Merryiot, Dragino, Hummingbird, Panther X1, LongAP Pro, Pisces, Milesight, Nebra Outdoor.

Ultra Low Loss Assembly for Helium Hotspot Mining
Our own brand of HNT-400 Ultra Low Loss coaxial cable is designed to deliver high performance with minimal loss. It is equivalent to LMR-400 and greatly extends the range and coverage of Helium Hotspot devices.
This high-performing upgrade directly translates to greater revenue potential because the RF signal is transferred more efficiently between the Hotspot device and antenna.
Hotspot devices in Europe previously had a higher power output rating. Now that there is a new restriction on output power in Europe (PoCv11), using HNT-400 Cable assemblies as the perfect low loss interconnect has never been more important to minimize signal loss.
Coaxial cables of the "RG" type were previously used between Helium Hotspots and antennas. The very high signal loss characteristics of RG cables - combined with their tendency to increase their signal loss over time - have rendered them a very undesirable option, leading to poor range and coverage of Hotspots.
HNT400 Vs RG58 - Performance Difference
- For EU 868 MHz the RG-58 cable RF signal insertion loss over 10 metres is 5.2 dB (that's only 56.4% efficiency).
- For EU 868 MHz the HNT-400 cable RF signal insertion loss over 10 metres is only 1.4 dB (Much higher coverage, 74.8% efficiency!).
The difference between the two is 3.8 dB’s – Please note that every 3 dB is a huge improvement of double the power output - this is a very impressive performance boost!
Note
This cable is N-Female, so you will need an antenna with an N-Male connector (like our 3 dBi, 4 dBi, 5.8 dBi or 8 dBi antennas) to connect the two.

Ultra Low Loss Window Pass Through Cable
The Ultra Low Loss HNT-100 Window Pass Through Cable is equivalent to LMR-100 and has 50% less loss per meter than the original window pass cable.
This Ultra Low Loss Window Pass Through Cable is designed to connect between our Ultra Low Loss HNT 400 Cable (to further extend the cable length) to all Helium hotspots with an RP-SMA Female connector.
Example setup:
Miner (inside) -> Ultra Low Loss Window Pass Through Cable (through window or door) -> Ultra Low Loss HNT 400 Cable (outside) -> Antenna (outside)
HNT Antennas have been testing an ultra low loss, innovative cable connection solution to solve the problem of how to connect a Helium Hotspot miner placed inside to an outdoor antenna - without drilling holes through window frames or walls to pass the cable through...and with minimal RF signal loss.
The thin and ultra low loss HNT-100 cable is designed to pass through most existing window frames, patio doors and underneath doors without the need for drilling or DIY work.
All you have to do is open your patio door or window, place the flat cable in the frame, and carefully close your door or window again - done!
Especially useful when installing Helium Hotspots in other people's homes - nobody wants holes drilled through their exterior walls that let in outside elements.

This antenna magnetic base is a simple solution for mounting your antenna inside to flat metal surfaces if having the antenna outside is not possible. It comes with an N-type female to RP-SMA male connector on a 2-meter antenna cable.
Note
The antenna magnetic base should not be mounted outside. The reason is that it is not waterproof and high moisture levels will eventually damage it and lead to an inoperable installation. HNT Antennas recommends that it only be used indoors and away from wet environments. Don't place the base directly next to a computer hard drive or credit card since it's magnetic.

Technical
dBi is the antenna gain and describes the signal strength and shape.
The higher the dBi value, the further the signal can reach but the narrower the vertical signal width is.
A lower dBi value results in a shorter signal but the vertical width is wider.
dBi is not the same as dB loss, this is a very common misconception.
dBi measures the antenna’s beam width and will always stay the same. An 8 dBi antenna is always sending its signal out in the same path as determined by the dBi number.
dB (not dBi) loss is the loss measured from cables or other connectors that decrease the total strength of the antenna.
Our rule of thumb is to keep total dB loss under 2.5.
dBi concerns beam width, while dB is signal loss decreasing the total distance the signal will travel from the antenna.
This depends on the distance to other hotspots. If your hotspot is far away from other hotspots then an antenna with a higher dBi might be suitable, but if you have a lot of hotspots closer by then an antenna with a lower dBi could be appropiate.
If you feel uncertain about which antenna to choose, please feel free to read our comprehensive guide or contact us here.
You should preferably place your antenna outdoors and as elevated as possible so that the antenna gets free sight in all horizontal directions. Placing it inside and/or too low can result in the signal getting blocked by your window, walls, other buildings, mountains or trees.
By having an outdoor antenna instead of it being indoors, you eliminate the signal getting blocked by other objects such as the window or walls. This will result in your signal reaching further which can result in increased rewards.
Our antennas are compatible with most miners, including:
Bobcat, RAK v1 and v2, MNTD, SyncroB.it, Nebra indoor, LongAP light, Linxdot, Sensecap M1, Heltec, and many more.
Read our connector guide here.
If a specific miner isn't listed above and you are unsure if it is compatible with our products, please don't hesitate to contact us here and we will get back to to you as soon as possible.
